The Storm of Aught-Seven and WGA rally prep

I scoffed this morning at the hysteria, but was let out at 1:30 and it was only 1.5 hours- or there abouts to get home. Not bad. (usually 45min to hour). It took quiet_elegance 5 hours.
Despite the aches and malaise of girl-hood, I managed to work on holiday cards, cleaned up the kitchen and made some offerings (Serenity tins- surprised? Then you're not paying attention) for Joss for tomorrow's rally. I'm very much hoping that I do get an audience. Robin and I are headed to Cambridge at 11 (more like be there at 11). I've got fresh batteries for my camera, my Serenity poster that already has Morena and Sean's autographs, plus 2 blank certificate pages, so I'm prepared for non-Mutant Enemy/Serenity alum. My shoulder bag is streamlined to be reasonable to carry for several hours out in the cold. And yes: Jayne hat.
How glad am I that the storm was today and not tomorrow? Hugely.  I expect by dinner time tomorrow I'm going to have used up a day and a half worth of energy. ::vibrate::... ::kerthunk::

It took cathijosephine five and a half hours. :-( (Three of which were on a bus trying to make progress on Route 9; eventually she and one of her co-workers just got out and walked to (I think it was) Kenmore, passing several busses along the way, none of which ever caught up to them.

So your 1.5 hours aren’t bad. :-/

Oh, and please wish quiet_elegance happy birthday for me! I meant to send him email on the day, and spaced.
