Yeah, i have to agree with your take on the whole thing. WTF with the ending or lack of it? And they completely cut out the beginning with the muggle Prime Minister and then the Dursleys. What, they didn't want to pay the actors? There was actually exposition and a plot point in there. And What about Bill and Fleur? There was so much delicious snark and character development, just glossed over. Oh, right, less actors to pay if we cut that part out.

One thing I did like, btw, was how they portrayed the very young and then the young Tom Riddle. Those two actors looked so much alike. And did you know that apparently the young one is Ralph Fiennes (sp.?) nephew? So they are related and might have some resembalance, even if by the time the character becomes a man you see nothing of his actual face. And absolutely agreed, Draco's torment was spot on. That kid can act. And Rupert Graves did a fabulous job. I have new respect for him.


There was so much more. But I'm going to go and listen to my audio version of the book to make myself feel better instead of ranting.
