Ohio Visit : Day Three

Much of the day was party prep. I did a fair bit of cleaning in the kitchen and took a break to find tees for the Serenity silkscreen project. I managed to get at least 7-10 worthies within my price comfort range. I -heart- Salvation Army.
On the way back I had to procure papa john's pizza. It' so bad (for you), but that dipping sauce was a revelation to me when in high school. Ah well.
There were a fair number of relatives: all mom's sibs, minus Wendy, plus various cousins: first, first once removed, and second. Even my uncle's brother. I think that's as good as it gets. Mom's art friends are neat and seeing my crew of friends is always good. Special thanks to Trouble and Rabbit for hauling their tired butts up from Columbus. (Yesterday was a shindig at OSU so the effort was not small to come out this way through all that damned construction). Also thanks to SZ for being willing to change his sleep schedule and successfully avoiding cross examination regarding your where-abouts.
Everyone was pretty much gone for home by almost 11. Fine, fine, fine. I found it somewhat exaughsting.
What was quite wild was having 4 of the kids I used to babysit (2 sets of sibs) visit with their parents- all are between the ages of 14 and and 18- all look pretty good and... OLD. Well, adult. I chose not to be hrmphy about Matthew Alan not remembering my name. It has been quite a while. Years and years. He was pretty much one of the first babies I ever watched. I just remember when he was 3 and called my dad "Buddy" as if it were his actual name.
Anyway- done now and once again avoiding bed.
Tomorrow should definitely be fun. Familial brunch at Unca Will's, work on the silk screen, and maybe chill with Amy & co.
