Turns out my cousin's wife is newly pregnant which was announced with only some trepidation.

Today was not a day for work but to find out what the status was with a sore throat and canKer sores (a legion of lesions) were something I should pay more attention to. No- a viral house guest who will leave eventually. The doctor's lidocaine temp fix for my tongue woes will be NOT tried again as I'm really not fond of ectoplasm.
The minor, coincidental medical visits included a quick get my cholesterol checked (3rd time is a charm. Happily no bruises, but the girl just couldn't hit an arm vein. Hmph). The other was my long-awaited eye exam complete with dilating drops of doooooom. Remember that South Park episode where Cartman has corrective shoes and those drops that make his pupils the size of italian family style restaurant dinner plates? Yeah. I must have looked quite the freak tottering home the 4 blocks to my house. At least my prescription is not drastically different and I wasn't charged extra to get my contacts "fitted"- as I wasn't changing brands.

I figured out I've taken a nap every day since Thursday and the grocery store was a serious energy suck (screaming children and moseying shoppers so didn't help) therefore I may well skip work tomorrow, too. Sheesh. Can I complain to the management about this or something?
