First, a word about Terrorism and Toothpaste, courtesy of one of my favorite authors, Neil Gaiman. You've now read it? OK, now we snarf.
As I may have noted, I'm in a craft-centric bit of energy this month. The stars seem to be aligning, as I sold 2 butterflies to friends on the bus on the way in today. This has entirely made my morning. It gives me the encouragement I need to continue the requisite yak shaving needed to keep this trend alive. Boooooyah!

My boss is over the moon about the brochures I put together while she was away- I have 2 more to make before next week (no problem). Also, ...um, I forgot. Right! More refence is trickling my way. I don't know if it's a product of the new web site having an "info" addy that goes to me, or the new school year. It's sometimes irritating, depending on the question, but good to have a few more odds and ends to do during the day.

Oh- and from the 'rents last night- Victory for the neighborhood zoning- The plan is to plan thoroughly with a lot of restrictions on what can be done. I couldn't be more proud of this unexpected win for the underdogs. And I know I'm biased, but this time I dont' feel like I'm that far off saying that my father's dedication to this campaign was the tipping point factor. I couldn't be more proud if I had done it myself. No- I'm more proud.

I know I've said all of this privately, but still, go you!

Your boss is a boss of great perception, so it stands to reason that she would like the brochures you created.

And the butterflies sale is a very good thing as well. I wish you luck and offer whatever assistance I can give for moving forward on that.

And a big "Congratulations!" to your parents (again) on their zoning victory. You have the coolest parents ever.

Yay for reasonableness and double yay for your dad. I agree that Neil's post is great. I was tempted to link it msyself but I'm still trying to figure out how Pygment's going to fly later this month with two kids and no drinks for them. That kinda took the humor out of the situation for me.
