Good stuff

• I've made 10 bucks from clay sales and a promise of 75 more tomorrow.

• The student who'd been working independently on a long-standing project off-site showed me her fine work today. I'm really happy. And this after a horrible scare a few months ago that the whole thing would be abandoned without being finished.
• On the way back up from visiting the off-site place, I saw Christy Mihos (again- about the 3rd or 4th time today- the last two included eye contact and a smile) I said "Hi Mr. Mihos"-- he says, "Call me Christy." So I did. Heee. Naturally he was surrounded by camera crew and lackeys, but considering the stage of the race and the fact his HQ is around the block from my building, I think I'll be seeing a lot of him now.
• My boss and I are finally in the office at the same time- for the first time in over a week- today- and related a telling and amusing story:
  

She had to put together a display for a conference this past weekend. I am usually around to supply her with pictures, but ... I wasn't, and we are good coworkers and don't pester those who are on vacation at home. She bit the bullet and decided to see if she could find the supply box in my office, but hated the idea of being in there. What she found was a very clean office (as I spent the last day beforehand cleaning and so forth), and things are put away in boxes with labels saying what's in the boxes. With a bit of help from our cohort, C., she found the correct box with display fodder. I wiiiiiiiiiin!!!  She commended me for my walk and talk matching (my words, not hers- hers were more: Oh man, you put me to shame)
