Maiden Voyage

Well, world... here I am.
my very first LJ entry and aren't I special. So much for resisting temptation, but I've already resisted LOTS of temptation today, up to and including personal damage to boss who's not letting us out early today. So, the temptation to start a live journal wins out (thanks Elyse for pushing me over the edge!)
