Oh boy! Another Learning Experience

UGH.

So, finally, after much trepidation, I called The Powers That Be in Lexington and after talking to the selectman's office I find we do indeed need a permit to meet on Battle Green for Sunday's vigil, that ideally we need to give them a week and a half so they can vote on it...

I'm very much of the "let's keep the bureaucracy on our side as much as possible"- So, I used my utra friendly voice on the phone and requested information rather than demanded. The woman who talked to me gave me the impression that they're very accomodating to the new increase in requests for use of the green- And it's likely I'll run into her again on similar business. Definite need to build not burn bridges.

Now I have to wait for Move On's site to come back up from maintenance so I can tell the folk we need to regroup elsewhere.

It's all a learning experience. Next time, I'll know what to do.
