Politics and Dancing
Dean first...
The rally was very good. Why?
1. he focuses on tearing apart the current regime and the insanity that they perpetrate rather than sniping at other democrats.
2. he is realisitic about him not being able to fix anything
3. "you're the ones who will change things" he says- Which is what our job is. I think one of the fundamental problems with GW & Co. is that they're under the delusion that it's their job to think for us rather than to be the instrument of our bidding. (Wow. I could be an evil overlord with vocab like this!)
4. he is very focused on the evil tax cut that doesn't help the "average (or below average) citizen."
5. he's not a wuss. I hate war, but some sort of conflict is eventual in this world of ours. Leaders have to be aware of that and do what they can to keep things as civil as possible
and so on. Howard Dean says the things I want to hear from a politician. I hope he stands a chance.
Dancing...
I went to the dance complex for my first bellydancing class last night. I'll not go back to that teacher. Her attitude and style fail to inspire me. I have a few more options, thankfully. I suppose there's more to it than that, but that's what it boils down to.
