I don't remember the last time I was so uninspired to do something for Halloween with regard to a costume. Things I've done in the recent past in no particular order--
In weekend update-y news, I got through yet another professional conference. This one was less fun for me, particularly since I walked out of the spring meeting with the idea that is now our new education/outreach program. However, I shepherded Miss Robin through. She was genuinely interested in a lot of the stuff she saw. So, big win. And dinner with her brother and sister-in-law was a lot of fun. Mind you, I had entirely forgotten NH is a smoking-friendly state. Gah!
I was lucky enough to chat more with
srl regarding new bicycle ideas. He's teh awesome when it comes to bike stuff, dontchaknow. I now know what my goal is and hopefully I can reach it by mid-Jan/Feb. Speaking of bikes...
Additionally, speaking of NH, the motorbikes are to bed in their winter home at Dr. K's and
sebastian_tombs. Yay. Thanks again, guys. Mind you, I already miss her. But, at least it was a great day for a ride. [Inigo Montoya] If you have snowpants. Which I do [/im]. And really, riding the past - oh, month- has become very uncomfortable. The sun is blinding in the morning on the way towards Alewife, fer example. And this is no slouch of a reason to dislike to ride. Then there's that need for snowpants with the not freezing.
This week I get to look forward to running a seminar on Wednesday and taking off Friday- a comp day for the meeting from yesterday. I'm still amazed my boss is making that go. Hee. I think she likes me.
