Interned Again
I'm still amazed when I get an intern. Unlike every other occasion, I've specifically asked for a student from the advanced class, rather than leaving it open and hoping madly that someone finds this place interesting enough to pick. I've also only suggested one project. But given how unusual we are over here, there's a buzz about us. Or something.
And I get to talk to one of the current classes next month about being a Lone Arranger. I was quite honored to be asked. There's a lot of us out there, and it's a nice big ego stroke. I wonder how far down I am on the "call back list" (I can hear the Ani in my head when I say that- from Blood Cloud, fyi), but hey in the end the reality is she asked, and I accepted. And I'm not remotely a newbie anymore, so no anxious tremors.
