Successful Shopping
Yesterday I picked up a mesh riding jacket that is fantastic for the breatheable and light weight, but also a lot more armor built in than even my leather. It's a Firstgear Countour Mesh, fyi. I was considering Rev'it's Angel synthetic, which is all-season, but it was 2x as expensive, and less ventilation. So, I go for cheaper and entirely vented. Yay!
Today I tried it out when I went to meet
buxom_bey for a shopping adventure. I wanted a new dress to wear to her wedding, and figured she'd be fun to shop with. I was right. The boutiques down Holland in Davis were way pricer than I was picturing, and Poor Little Rich Girl next to Diesel is sort of a swank and uber-retro version of good will. No. Don't wanna pay 60 bucks for a dress worn by someone else, thanks. I really wanted to go to Utso, where I went for my birthday spending spree. I was right. They had just what I wanted. A nice fuscia strappy swirly dress. With some embroidery and buttons down the front. Also I picked up a very light weight white cami and some silver earrings. Yay, shopping!
We visited the Paper Source, where I picked up the right kind of paste for collage affixing- it's called "Yes!" Hee. No? Yes!! Bey didn't find enough of the paper she need, though. Sad :( She was very indulgent and let me get sushi at Blue Fin. It was just about perfect, but the moshi was even better. Home now and happy not to be wearing my boots.
I must be feeling better because I'm still bouncy despite the prolonged shopping and wandering in the heat with previously mentioned boots on. Yay! Now if only I didn't have to do follow up doctor visits tomorrow. Oh well. It sucks to be responsible sometimes. Hope for the best for me on the low hassle and such on that front.
