It's been a really awesome day. I signed up at the last minute for a 2 day, all day workshop- "Transition to Leadership," which is offered through the Boston Library Consortium and held at Northeastern. I'm having a hard time coming up with a concise way of describing the class, maybe I'll be able to do better tomorrow. FWIW, I'm hoping to get out of it: better ways of communicating with my coworkers, rather than just expecting them to have my personality default settings, which is not true most of the time. The class should also confirm and add to my own experiences. I really like this class because it's practical, collaborative, interactive, and has to do with interpersonal dynamics. I have every expectation that I will be able to apply what I learn immediately. RAWK.
But it also means I spend the whole evening catching up on computery stuff. I did stack that deck by leaving LJ posts that elicit responses and so forth. Eh? S'ok to have a quiet night once in a while, but dammit! It's already 9 and I'll be headed to bed in about an hour. Fnar.
