Home to soggy Boston- yay!!
Overall: I'd call the trip a good one, despite the illness. My throat is no longer sore, my ear is mostly better. I did my first thing for the sabbatical and thought it was a good step.

So, exactly what were/are your symptoms. I'm feeling cruddy with a little sore throat (and subsequent ear tingliness), a headache, and a nice big fat swollen lymph node on the left side of my neck.

I'm going back to bed now. :P

um... that sounds pretty suspect.
However, according to the doctors I have talked to, the incubation period is about 6 weeks, and despite rumors to the contrary, it's not that easy to catch.
It also doesn't last 3 months as a rule, I'm at the beginning of the 3rd week, and I feel pretty much better at this point, but won't be running marathons.
If you want to know for sure, have the doc take some blooood. Good luck- I'll hope it's not the M word.

Yeah, it sounds like it's 4-6 weeks. Like I said (in my own journal), that would be a blindingly fast incubation. I'm wondering when people are contagious, though. If you were contagious weeks ago while you were coming down with it, and you passed it onto goober...

But my hopes are still high that it's not mono and I'm just exhausted and have a bit of a sore throat.
