Secondary School text books

I just realized I've not tried to inquire amongst this community on a thing I'm working on.

I need to get some samples of social studies and/or history text books from local schools. I need to see how they deal with primary sources. Any thoughts, aside from asking schools directly?

I think you would do better to ask publishers for samples. When I worked at Houghton Mifflin, we gave out lots of samples. Publishers can afford to, while most schools can't.

She has crossed my mind a few times this week as I have started ramping up...
