If you didn't know, I will tell you that finding white or more particularly off white shoes when it's not the height of wedding season is pretty damn hard. I decided I'd try my luck on eBay and my gamble did not pay off. I did only pay about 18 bucks for them, including shipping, but WOW. Not fitting. I now have a pair of off white medium height heels that say 8.5, but are more like a very narrow 7.5, if that. I didn't want to spend real money on shoes I'm not likely to wear more than in a blue moon, but I now have 6 days to find them. Michaelson's here in Lexington is my first avenue. They are good at having sensible shoes. I'll hope for the best. DSW was pretty much a no- win when I tried 2 weeks ago. Anyone else have any thoughts on this? I don't want to have to go out to Dedham, Danvers, or Natick if I don't have to (that's where David's outlets are, and they always have off-white shoes)
If anyone has suggestions on other store options, lemme know.
Also, if anyone needs aforementioned style of shoe that I can't wear, I'll cut ya a great deal.

This may be silly and/or obvious, but maybe Payless?

(Actually, if you like I can duck into the one I work near, tomorrow, just to see if they have any)

There's a discount shoe place here in Burlington where Bey and I had great luck with shoes. They were in the same mall complex with Outback on Cambridge Street just south of 95. It's the 3S exit.

Sometime while you're over here, you should try on the shoes from my wedding.

Also, I wouldn't go to any David's store until you've looked on-line, seen something yo liked, then called the store to make sure it's in stock.

Was that Off Broadway Shoes? They opened a store here in Medford now, too.

I have a pair of white 1/2 inch strap-type white pumps that I wore once and doubt I'll ever wear again. Size 8.5 want me to send 'em to you?

I can take a pic if you're interested.

Well, I don't think they're *really-really* white, but they're more white than not-white.

They're less white than my cat.

If I mailed them express tomorrow they could be there overnight or in three days, I think.

I did wear them for an entire day, so they have toe-marks in the bottom.

The first thing that came to my mind was "Teddy's," in Central Square, but that might not be the kind of shoe you're looking for... (Also, it looks like you're sorted, but I thought I'd share anyway.)

I could loan you a pair sortof like the ones above, but 2 sizes larger, so I suppose that wouldn't help. But, um, er. I hope those work!
