When I was 14, I went away to Interlochen (Music/arts camp) for 8 weeks. I'd never been away from home that long before and it was a little freaky.
Right around then, I'd started in as most teenagers and non-teenagers, for that matter- and made compilation tapes. Very elaborate.
Well, that summer, Dad sent me a compilation in the mail. Mail is very important when you're away all summer.
One of the songs on there that I really latched on to was Rolling Stones's Miss you - and while the song wouldn't necessarily be appropriate to have a 1:1 ratio of interpretation between a kid and her dad, I figured the overall meaning was Dad saying just that: miss you. So, I usually think of him when I hear it.
