End of summer vacation
After mumble-mumble weeks months,
quiet_elegance is off the guv'mint dole and back to slinging a hammer out in Concord (MA) as if tomorrow! This was a job worth waiting for, so instead of jumping at the first job to come along, he waited for the one where he knew the work would be better than hanging drywall, near home so less driving every day and no insane Boston parking prices. It's also purported this project will last through the winter and then some- maybe 8-9 months. In carpenters terms, this is a good deal.
During his time off, q_e made huge strides on the albatross bookcases for
kazmat . That and entirely engrossed himself with WoW and went on a reading bender that was a sight to behold. Barnes & Noble employees probably started calling him by name. This is noteable because he's usually not a reader to this degree- that was my department. I guarantee you he read more than I did since early July. Of course now this means once he's done with his promised projects, he'll have to build more bookshelves. ETA: he also helped
tamidon build a kick-ass chicken coop
Now that I've seen slow summer vs. slow winter- this was a better deal than being stuck in the house for 2 months with no daytime structure. By a LOT. Yeah, for him and for me ;) A celebratory dinner out tonight is happening- yes indeed.
