+ dinner with [livejournal.com profile] lifecollage  at Addis in Cambridge
- wine makes me dopey- but it was honey wine!
++ finished prep for my class on Saturday, wrote and sent a welcome letter that will hopefully give me a better idea what my students need.
+++ finished my online class today. I was so done with that.
- guilt gorilla ([livejournal.com profile] caulay 's clever term) pestering me for not enough "traditional" archive work. Soon my great ape nemesis. Soon you shall be pacified.
- my copy of Firefox at home is currently being dumb wrt videos. They start to play, then freeze up. It isn't system wide, just Firefox. Just within the past week. "Help" isn't helping, so my plan is to wait it out and suffer using IE for the things like.... ->

o political thing of the moment: the Don't Vote video. I'm registered. Even participated in the primary, which was not really well attended by - you know- voters. I have a hard time imagining anyone reading this isn't registered and wasn't planning on voting. I'm not sure that if you haven't and/or you're not, that this video by celebrities will change your mind. On the off-chance that it does, then there you go.

As a note, the term "Guilt Gorilla" was stolen from [livejournal.com profile] matociquala, who often uses it to describe her on-going bouts with her own Puritan Work Ethic.

They are often accompanied by Suck Monkeys.

I'm registered, of course, but I was curious.... I liked the Don't Vote PSA, but I can't figure out what people are supposed to do at the site they get sent to (maps.google.com/vote). It doesn't do a thing for me except show a map, even when I try to zoom in somewhere or type a town name. :/

If you type in a street address, it will give you a bunch of links for local voter registration information, last day to register, how to register including a link to the correct web site if the state offers on-line registration, how to get an absentee ballot, etc. for that address.

See, there wasn't any place to type in an address, and no instructions whatsoever. I finally figured out that I had to give JavaScript permission to googleapis.com in order to use the page. :/
