Sorry to hear. Have you called your PCP to consult about testing for Parvo & Epstein-Barr? (S)he will probably not want you in right away, but since we were all potentially exposed...

You're right about not going in immediately- it takes the better part of a month before it incubates. I had it a year+ ago. :P

Also: that mono scare is a total tempest in a teapot. The woman who was sick wasn't kissing people or sharing food or even interacting with the general public all that much. So, while someone may have been trying to be "helpful" by warning the con-goers, mostly he/she/it/they were stirring up drama.

And in my case- I was reminded once you have it, you're unlikely to get it again.
