Off the bench and into the workshop again
He's been out since July 24. That's almost exactly 3 months. In that time, he spent a lot of energy chasing down why he was in so much pain and doing something about it. All the doctors and PT staff (he's now seeing my PCP, whom he declares a lovely woman) have agreed that as long as he's not hurting himself, he can work. So, working inside on lighter objects- not big slabs of metal siding or the like- sounds like the most cakey of cake jobs right now. Did I mention Waltham? That's a 10 minute commute. Lucky bastard.
Oh--- also- he's going to a expense-paid trip to Las Vegas for school in mid-December. He's one of 4 third-year apprentices who've been asked to go from New England. It's sort of a huge deal.
