Things learned in 2009

mizarchivistOK- it's turning meme-like, but it fulfills the thoughtful and interesting (to me) requirement to perpetuate
1. I can make educational videos (I taught myself how to do this from nothing earlier this year)
2. Small kindnesses mean a lot, particularly kindness to strangers
3. Relatedly, I am trying to adopt the starfish philosophy. (Thanks,![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
primal_pastry for reminding me of that one)
4. Saying NO to potential commitments/opportunities is sometimes doing the one asking a favor a kindness if it means I won't be able to give them the energy they require
5. It's worth reaching out to my cousins. I have seen several this year that I'd not seen in years and they're neat people. Also, thank you Facebook, for helping me maintain some links.
6. The MBTA buses often have bike racks, which means I can ride my bike to Alewife so much more than I had in previous seasons
7. Mashups are awesome
