As of tonight, quiet_elegance  has been told by the head of the apprenticeship program, that he is being advanced- just a bit early according to their odd and antiquated rules- to journeyman. Yes. Oh yes. About fucking time.
This means a raise, new levels in pension benefits, the option to be a steward, and a super-fast track to the teaching circuit.

I was really hoping the Good Feeling that pinged when hearing a new job started last week, that 2 people from the oversight board were going to bat for him, that this was the week we could call the tipping point.

Uh, yeah.

Part 2, chapter 2 of the Swan plumbing problem:
The landlord-chosen plumber is in tomorrow. He expects to start and finish the fix that is required to make us a fully functioning house again. Also, he'll be billing the landlord directly. Further huzzahs :)
