Who IS this baby?
We seem to have hit a sea change with Crime Fighter today. I don't know that I can pinpoint it exactly, but I feel like his brain grew three sizes today.
Stuff that is new and exciting in Crime Fighter Land are:
Learning to pet the noble steed,
entrope's dog. I have yet to learn how this goes exactly. I can't wait to hear and/or see.
Patting my face. This means I get blessed with lovely cold, wet slime trails on my cheeks and means I learn to take off my glasses very quickly when we're starting this game.
Baby sense of humor is still a bit baffling. No surprise, but raspberries and fart noises are 100% funny no matter what. But it's also funny when I nom his fingers. Although the way he laughs at it, feels like an inside joke between us. I miss the exact nuance, but I appreciate being included.
His grip has always been quite good, but now he's good enough to pick up his plastic bin that comes with the different shapes- standard Fisher-Price sort of thing. Well, he'll lift it while it's full of the block/shapes and get it to his mouth. This means fun spilling everywhere, so bonus!
The rolling. He started to get good within the past month and will flip over in a matter of seconds from back to belly, but is starting to manage the reverse. I have to stalk him with a camera a bit to see if I can capture this sometime soon.
Food. He's been given tastes of lots of different things from our plates. Usually the sauces, but he's also tried cheerios, sweet potatoes, white potatoes- pesto... I need to make more of an effort to give him a more structured opportunity to try this "eating" thing. It's pretty astonishing to see him go from entire incomprehension about big people food to anticipating getting a bit of it for himself
Bath time included serious splashing. It was very engrossing. I feel like it was a 2 or 300-level undergrad class in splashing for him. I'd not witnessed it before, as daddy normally commandeers bath time. It may well have been a new trick from just today.
But as previously mentioned, long stretches of sleep are not one of his tricks. Yet. Bedtime for Bonzo.
