Let the Arisia Countdown Begin!

For the last few years, I had to sacrifice participating in the Arisia art show because I, a) was not producing new work b) had no spoons, given what I know takes prepping and c) figured forcing it would make it Not Fun, and that's not the point.

BUT! This year, well, coming back mean and lean and since I just re-read my orientation email on show prep, I realize I'm registering my stuff tonight, as it's due on the 10th. This is my idea of last-minute, by the way. It's somewhat a relief to have this external factor force me to just stop production.

Previous years, I'd bring magnets, jewelry, ornaments (default Christmas, but who am I to say how they're appreciated), and of course TINS. This year, I'll bring a small representation of my steam-punk jewelry, and some toggles that I've been experimenting with recently, the best of my ornaments that fit on my small display, and fewer tins than previous years. I strongly believe this will be overall better for so many reasons. The table will be less cluttered. It won't take forever to register, or set up. My display apparatus will be less awkward to shuttle back and forth, too.

I'll be introducing some new designs, including a Tardis or two.

This is my imagining the Tardis going through the space/time vortex. I will be bringing a traditional one, too.

Not a factor, it simply means I will not have made new pieces between now and then.

The rationale for Tuesday (vs. some other time) is that it's when you're available *and* it's before Arisia. I'm operating under the optimistic notion I will sell some things that've not to date had photo documentation.

Eee pretty! And yeah, I'm very excited for Arisia this year. First time in forever that I've gotten a room and planned to stay for much of the weekend. :)

Extra bonus points on the pirate chest: It's super-easy for me to make. Mind you, I forgot about the "plank" style shown here in favor of the solid, textured surface. I'm totally doing a plank one next time.

I will be at home in my jammies by the time things get rolling, I think re: art reception. I am not sleeping on site, you see.

I do expect to be around more than I might be otherwise, as the Kid is in Turtle Track, so I will not be playing goalie the whole time I'm there, so there's that at least!

Oh god, I NEEEEEEEEEEEEED a pirate chest (with planks, preferably) but I won't have spending monies until February. Any chance I can commission one for then? :D

I do not have desk drawers at work (I know, wtf) so I need something I can keep a few things in on my desk without having them be on display/visible all the time. The altoids tin size would be perfect; it doesn't have to fit pens or anything.

The pirate ship is fabulous, but I'd almost rather have a big one as wall art. Is that even a thing that you can do? I actually like the clay... though I think you also do watercolors, right?

Hee- Well, I'm not doing anything new til at least a week after Arisia,and having planky pirate chests in stock is never a bad idea, so I will be happy to make that happen.

Yes, I do watercolors. And acrylics. If you have reference pictures that give me further backup of what you'd like, I can almost certainly do it (if you don't want photographic detail-- I'm more shapes/colors. I know, you are SHOCKED).
