When the gods point and laugh
aka, the curse of the wheeled objects
They're definitely not lauging with me today. Or even this week? I dunno.
The sequence:
Go on nice bicycle ride. Buy lemonade from kids on the way home. Chain gets wedged in between gears magically and mysteriously while I drink the lemony drink. Wrassle the chain back with much cussing to self and dirtying of hands- success after prolonged struggle. Return home, load bike in truck and take it to Quadcycle to see if it's a fixable problem. Survey says! No. Not something to be adjusted. Minor money transfusion required, and I really want to ride again tomorrow (bike is usually fine if one does not move out of middle gear).... finefinefine. Will throw money at the problem a different week. Get back into the truck. Truck won't start. wee! Reprise of the pre-mother-in-law visit, a few weeks ago. 3 bucks later, truck is taken care of (the mechanic is 4 miles away- one further than the prescribed free zone)
What's up with this? I think it's best that I not play with sharp objects, like spoons, for fear that I might miss my mouth an jab my jugular and end up bleeding but get finished off, pecked to death by cats. (A muffin to the first one other than a member of DMH who gets that last reference)
Despite all, I'm in a decent mood (til the bill arrives, right?). I had fun with my latest picture morgue installment, courtesy of meine Mutter- Lots more National Geographic with Smithsonians tossed into the mix as well. I also got my motorcycle inspected yesterday. Nothing like cutting it close to the wire. Gaelen was out of "pass" stickers, so we were arguing the best way to fail me so I could get some sticker and 20 days grace when it was determined I'm a dork and forgot my new registration (have the sticker, but not the little piece of paper)- so I fail legitimately! Woooo! *snort*
Movie recommendation of the week (for rental): Somethings Got To Give- Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson being cute at each other. Very predicatable ending, but one isn't there for the suspense.

Can you make a wheat free, dairy free muffin?
Did yo uget it towed to Bill's?
Hmmmm
I've managed a very very good dairy free, but not wheat. Sorry, hon.
Yes, we sent it to Bill's. Hopefully he'll figure out WTF is up.
Re: Hmmmm
So that's twice today I've sent the people I care about to people I trust for care. In your case car care and in the other chiropractic.
