Important work day
Today's our annual meeting and Fearless Leader's retirement party directly after. At some point late last month, I volunteered to speak on behalf of the staff at the dinner. I am relatively pleased with what I've come up with: very short and somewhat humorous. He hates people making a fuss, and these sorts of occasions feel like living eulogys.
I have no knitting for the meeting this time, but I suspect there'll be enough of direct interest to me that I can manage without dying of boredom. ponders Actually, it's been at least a year, maybe more since I've felt that bored (or overfed) at a meeting annual or otherwise. It must be my getting more involved in stuff here. That's kind of cool.
