First, I'll say that the Tuesday festivities went pretty well. Fearless Leader had a very good time at his party. The food was very good, drinks free, tour of Old And Rich neighbor institution hosting boring, but when I go w/ better guide will kick ass. [livejournal.com profile] quiet_elegance was a bit weirded out by the churchiness of some parts (hymn singing and prayer saying), but it made sense to me.

Today I have done a lot of manual labor- cleaned a range w/out help (took 1.5 hours), cleared my future work table. There was a lot of crap in its drawers. Now there's a smaller pile of stuff (not crap) waiting to be relocated (NFC) and 3 boxes of trash. I was clever and delegated the remainder of packing to be done by Capt. Naptime.

Next Wednesday, a local rubbish removal company will come to take the many oversized desks and particle board tables away. If it wasn't so huge and we weren't under the gun, I'd find a way to get someone to adopt it. But it is huge. I want someone with workman's comp to move these bad boys. And construction starts the day it leaves.

Brief social update: I do get to go to Pride this year. Yay! I'll march with the Poly contigent, I think.
Tomorrow evening is Shannon/Tansey's memorial service. I suspect it'll be a very small group. If anyone is interested in going, let me know before 4 or 5 tomorrow, or find Michelle for details.
