Although I didn't know you at that age, and only met your mom once, I did guess that it was her :)

Having done it backwards by reading the message before looking at the picture, I still think I would have guessed it was your Mom. Something about the tilt of her head... can't say for sure. Also, the fact that it's in B&W probably would have helped. :)

I can see that; nevertheless, it's still pretty striking. Given I had the same haircut at that age--- anyway- hope you were amused, too
