Ohio survived.
Travel a non-issue both at Logan and the T this morning.

Let's see. . .
Friday evening:
The party was much smaller than I expected. No blood relatives aside from parents, a few friends from grade school, family friends. Very nice. Amy's kids are cling-ons. But hey, at least they like me.
Quiet Elegance's plane was delayed, then he took the long way around the city, so arrived at midnight.

Saturday- breakfast at Yours Truly's (good restaurant), then off to BG to see family there. Mother in law and Grandmother behaved. Brother and Sister in law same as ever. Nieces: Dayle (4) is very cute and wants as much attention as can be spared, Erin (1) has an earache and will be getting tubes later this week, so she was really not thrilled 99% of the time.
The picnic with MiL's sister and some of her clan was fine. 3 kids to play with Dayle. I'd never met any of these relatives before, so that was a bit amusing.

QE took me to "meet" his father at the cemetary down the road. A very nice field is around it and you can hear birds and the cars going by. It was, as expected, very sad but glad I went.

Sunday- Family pictures taken at Walmart. QE was very sporting on the whole issue, as he loathes getting his pictures taken. The girls behaved and we were out in half the time it took the group ahead of us to do their pictures. Lunch at Bob Evans, a trip to Meijer for some inexpensive clothes for both of us and a return to Mentor by dinnertime.

Amy and kids returned to chill for most of the evening, but her boyfriend never did make it. Too bad. He and QE could have talked about motorcycles and such. I ended up spending a bit of time labeling names and dates for some of mom's photos. None have ID on the back, or few- so I'll continue to work on that whenever I go back. If she and dad do make it for xmas, and drive, I'll see if she can't bring some for me to work on while they're here.

Monday's return- despite a mixup with craptastic computer generated driving dirctions to CAkron went w/out a hitch. Thanks to Caulay for meeting us there. Again: zero traffic. I hate our media, I really do.

Sounds like a perfectly reasonable trip back to the homefront. I'm glad it went so well. Sorry I didn't realize you'd be w/o connectivity for part of it or I wouldn't have worried. Ah well.

You're welcome, I'm always glad to help out. And I happen to be on the "right side" of the city for easy access to Logan anyway.

I'm glad the trip went well (but for minor things).

Thanks to Caulay!.

Kazmat..
-I got to ride the bike to work a week or so ago... that is about it for me.
It was a decent trip. I do think that everytime that I have had to fly to ohio I have had at least one delay. Also I would really love to find out how to stop getting red flagged and searched. Other than that I had a great time with my sweetie!

Well, at least I've managed to get out more than _someone_ this summer. :}
And my bike is finally back with the gas tank all fixed and repainted (cause they messed up the finish royally when they coated the inside). So now it just takes good weather and motiviation.

So I heard that you got a bike. What did ya get and what did ya do to the gas tank.

Uh, I've had a bike for almost a year now... :}

The tank was rusty on the inside, so I had it coated and spot welded where it had rusted through in one spot.
