Home Again Home Again, Jiggidy Jig

mizarchivistYesterday Dad took me to the Holden Arboretum and we visited the rhodedenren garden where my grandmother's memorial bench is. The sun was shining, birds singing. The bench is on a path next to a grove of beech trees that have low-growing vegetation that that always made me think of fantastical forest creatures.
The high winds and rain meant an hour and a half delay return to Boston, but I had the joy of seeing both my boys waiting for me when I got there. K. took us to Uncle Pete's BBQ. I hope the extra ribs we brought home make a decent lunch!
As expected, this whole return to work thing is more than slightly painful.
On the up-side, I actually managed to zip up my wedding dress last night. When I lose the 10 lbs. I had planned on shedding anyway, it won't even be tight in the hips anymore. Whew. I was prepared to be bummed.
Tonight's Serenity's 2nd preview. By the time I wake up I expect I'll be excited. Going to pick up the tickets should help.
