I finally got to the finishing for the silk screened tshirts this weekend. I used ink prepped by my mother that she uses in silk scarf applicatons as opposed to screen printer's ink. The damned stuff runs so much I have no idea if a single one will be entirely presentable. At first I thought the white shirts were the only ones that had bleed-over where the ink touched non-design areas, so put the 4 that were non-white tshirts in the dryer only to see that no, really, not so great.
I can't say how many hours went into this- lots. Perhaps it's just the type of ink... well, it has to be. People do silk screens all the god-damned time and this doesn't happen. Nevertheless, it's enough to make me think there may not be a second run. Certainly not if I'm doing 90% of the labor and $backing.

And I'd be willing to chip in both labor and $backing on a second try.
