Blading & iPod followup

I've taken to rollerblading over bicycling as it (as longa as I don't fall down) is hella easier on my body/wrists. And it's a more intense workout, so bonus. I also determined a safer way to get to the bike trail, which often determined my not going as it requires either hauling them up to the path or traversing a hill. However, if I tromp through the back yard, no hill. Woot!
Last night I went after the sun went down. I had a reflective vest on but not a light. I'm very keen to go again, but next time with illumination. I thought if I didn't care to see where I was going, but wanted to be seen, I should get the bendy glow sticks you can turn into bracelets/anklets. Snarf!

When I got back, I figured out how to fix the iPod!! Thanks to Solpolistnation for giving me the place to start. I was under the misapprehension that the solution was in itunes/pod, not windows. But it was. One apparently runs the "chkdsk" via the Run function found in MS start menus. Happily, the cryptic how to in the help index was enough to get me to fix it. Hopefully I can do the same for quiet_elegance's, too. Double Woot!! And I did it all by mine self < /5 yr. old self>

You're so cute when you're over-estimating my fitness! Last night I did (approximately) 3-4 miles and was damned proud of myself. With that in mind, if you'd like to ride part of it at some point, let me know- particularly before the trail is taken over by the falling leaves.

IIRC, it's 11 miles- I've yet to get from end to end in one go, mostly because I have to then get home, so I usually pick a direction and loop back.
Anyway- if we are to seize the moment, I'd say perchance we can try this tomorrow or Thursday after I get home from work (5:30). I'm pretty much solidly booked then from Friday to Tuesday. Lemme know

Maybe! I'm not sure what my Thur plans are like (I'm pretty sure I have some in the evenings) but it might be later in the evening then earlier. I'll let ya know!

Flashlights and reflectors are fun! I am thinking of procuring a few for further and safer night blading. Last night I found that the surface was pretty darned good/mostly free of root bumps, so no need to see exactly what's in front of you. drop me a line at mizarchivist at gmail dot com for more planning
