The wicked may now rest
Since Thursday, I've-
(thu:) Met Shadesong and her very fun family. I'll be happy when they're all up here and we can hang out more often. Elayna has also been taught Fluxx. A good thing.
Finished Season 1 of Lost
(Fri)
Helped Bryttan with coat check before Arisia really got rolling.
Also helped with other pre-con setup
Sat on the Mez for a few hours and watched my friends flit. That's really the best. They walk past, say hi, maybe stop, but then move on and more people stop by.
Dinner at Legal Seafood
Attempted to see the geek-kink panel with 'song and docorion but watch me overheat!
Flirted. a lot.
(Sat)
Dim sum with brjulia, evila, caulay, suzanne, and tamidon. Walking to chinatown in the rain was not ideal, but hey. At least it was warm.
Found some Serenity pins from NancyButtons and then went to the Serenity Panel, which seemed to me to be mostly the audience monopolizing the hour talking about stuff, rather than the panelists talking about stuff.
Mmm, more flirting and socializing.
Was bought sushi and it was delivered, no less.
Lots more socializing, party hopping and by midnight was dead tired.
(Sun)
Early depature- home now.
Observation: This may well have been one of the best Arisias ever. No stress, happy q_e and p_t, no manditory activities, and I wasn't quite ready to leave when we did, but it was probably for the best. Before I fell the hell over.

What I did not think to mention before was that I saw a lot of my Serenity shirts. I also saw a few of the more recently released shirts that were done by Cafe Press or Hot Topic. (Mine were prettier). I had a few folks ask about their origin in front of me and I can imagine how many I didn't get to hear. Still: go, me!

After that panel I was more or less cornered by someone who considers herself a pretty serious Serenity fan, who went on about how uninformed and unprepared the panelists were. Of course, I pointed out that she could volunteer for such events next year, but I wondered what you thought about the panel's level of knowledge/prep?

It would have probably been more realistic to have the conversation be set up as a round table to begin with and have 3-6 points to cover.
