- Today's [livejournal.com profile] quiet_elegance's last day at his job.
- He's also home sick.
+ I signed him up for his home inspection course, which starts on 2/8.
- The credit card is whimpering from the beating
+ This was the right decision
- Someone put crazy in the ground water this week. I'll be drinking from bottled water til it evens out.
+ I put the majority of my Indigo Girls collection on my iPod. Because I'm me, I rate all my songs as they go on the pod and the % that have 4 or 5 stars is hugely significant. I do not give them out lightly. Love my girls. They are the soothing balm for my soul.
- I got one of those cliche requests for a library item in which the caller knows almost nothing. Not quite "I'm looking for a book. It has a red cover," but it's close. Let's hope I can find the mythic item.
+ Thus far I've maintained a veneer of healthy
- but boy howdy, I feel like an animated corpse in regard to energy. I'd better stay OK. I have a huge desire to see the Matthew Stubbs Band on Saturday at Ryles. (Tell me if you're going, m'kay?)

Also, *hug*

hey, i thought about you last night -- my dad, my brother, and i were talking about Bob Dylan, and dad put on a copy of Joan Baez's album "Ring Them Bells". it has a cover of Dylan's "Don't Think Twice, It's Alright", on which she is backed up by, you guessed it, Emily and Amy. i don't have a rip of it unfortunately, but i thought you might like it. :)

(of course, i forget it you're a Dylan fan at all, in which case it might be totally moot.)

ObIndigo: my favorite cover of theirs is when they do Dire Straits's "Romeo and Juliet".

Anyway, I skimming down my iTunes library and discovered that I have mostly 3, and a lot of 4 star ratings. Then it hit me: this is stuff that I've already spent money on, so it's hardly a random sampling of music. The only 2 or 1 star ratings are on either [livejournal.com profile] tamidon's tunes, or more often on filler crap on an otherwise worthwhile album.

Sorry to here q_e is feeling unwell. I understand the money crunch. Hope everything works out ok.

"It's definitely a thought," sez [livejournal.com profile] mangosteen. It will depend on a) how much of my paper I get done between now and then; and 2) how late they go on, 'cause he's got a concert in Andover the next morning at 11:30 (ick).

So, put us down as a definite maybe. He's been wanting to see more live music, and if we know you'll be there, it makes it an easier decision.
