Crazy? ... Don't mind if I do!!

There's something about today that has lead me to some very strange behavior to the point of without a doubt traumatizing the barely pubescent bagger at the grocery store. The nervous giggle was rather cute though.
The factors to this point:
- morning work entailed pulling cards from the catalog for the books we are deaccessioning. This is a hell that can only be thoroughly understood and appreciated if I tell you in person. Or if you have done so yourself at one point.
- morning spent in anticipation of lunch (free and sushi) but in reality paid for, as I had to sit there for an hour and a half talking about future planning for work w/ boss and colleague. I just really don't like this pie-in-the-sky stuff. Which is what usually happens at bored meetings when "future planning" is said. But, there were some good points made. There was one off-putting moment. Apparently while I was pulling previously mentioned cards, boss sent an email with points she wanted to discuss at lunch. Never saw the email. I was living that not prepared for that pop test everyone knew about but you dream. Happily, I played that down for the most part and just looked off boss's. But it also meant I didn't have a chance to say anything really witty. Bleh
+ upside: "free" sushi, and a feeling like we actually made some progress.
- trying to determine technical widget for our blog at work and asking colleague for some teamed up assistance to find the answer. Oh gods, mistake. Another story to be told in person. Safe to say, we'll never ever road trip together. She'd drive me nuts.
- tomorrow I get to go do financial stuff, which overall: very good, but that doesn't make it fun or easy.
+ day off tomorrow, at least
- hormones?
- congestion that flared up after the massive dusting done on Sunday.

Walking around the grocery store, my censor was entirely off line and I was as transfixed as Shaggy when walking by the frozen dessert section, pizza, pies, Easter candy... yeah. Remember that theory that hormones have some level of play on this? mmmhmmm. So, yeah. By the time I got to the checkout line, I was laughing hysterically and couldn't really stop. Pretty sure the cashier was not making eye contact on purpose. I can't help it. The tabloids make me angry! And that makes me giggle, as K. and I have been over this before. Tabloids are stupid and I need to remember who they're really geared for. Still, when I see how bloody stupid they are and stick celebs on pedestals, I want to kick things. Yeah. See? He was right to bring me home asap so I wouldn't scare the normals.

With that: I'm gonna go play in the kitchen. Don't worry, I'll leave the big knives alone.

Yer a goof! If you need to vent or just have some non-normals time, I think I'll be feeling better enough next week to make it into the office. (long story)

Let's have lunch!

Right then. Hopefully things have returned to "normal" this morning?
