Not of grumpy ghosts, but of all the dust rhinos. Actually, the house didn't have a ghost problem before, just so you know. If anyone needs some Portuguese/Hispanic? girls to come in and make your house not suck with the dustfulness, I entirely and whole-heartedly recommend S & N Cleaning Services They made everything- and I mean everything- shiny. They cleaned off the outside of our vacuum. And the tops of the door frames. And made our beds.
I've also watched about 4 episodes of Buffy (3rd season, 1st disk) today. And I can tell my speech patterns have shifted again with it. Yay! Clean house!!

Might want to look into subscribing to the poly boston listserv- they have regular announcements of gatherings (www.polyboston.org), but the Diesel thang is pretty much every Tuesday evening and sometimes Friday, but I've never done the latter. *smoochies!*

I think the Friday is the 4th Friday of the month. It's a bit quieter and tends to be a smaller crowd.

Cleaning People Are Minor Deities

Back in 2001 I explained to bigbrotherinlaw that he could either make substantial contributions to the house-cleaning efforts or he could pay divorce insurance premiums in the form of paying for a cleaning lady. I'm on my fourth Polish lady (There are lots of them in New Britain.) these days and every other Monday night when I come home and everything has been vacuumed, dusted, mopped, scrubbed or polished I am sooooo happy!

The house falls into complete disarray in between, but hey, at least twice a month the place sees vacuuming, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing. I don't have to feel like a total slurm.

Likely Brazilian. The Wall Street Journal ran a piece a couple months ago about how there is this amazingly huge/deep/wide pipeline for Brazilians into the Boston/Eastern MA area home cleaning business.

Having other people clean your house is a wonderful practice, one we believe in wholeheartedly!
