They spinnin', they spinnin'

This is one of the cooler pictures I took on Saturday at the pool party.
I was trying really hard to get the streaky effect, but it was tough. I have a point-and-shoot so as far as I know really can't do prolonged exposures. Ahh well. It was fun. I even did a 30 second video before the batteries died (again). That is not posted at this point.
I left the images of the spinning public and the daytime pics private, FYI. More fire here.

Yes. She is The HAWT. The one with the fire EXed over her is phenominal and my second favorite. (Ah, is that how you spell her name....)

Not only is she totally TEH HAWT, but she's one of the genuinely-nicest and all-around-shiniest people I know up there. Two thumbs way up!

of course, here's me looking at those pictures and saying "augh! i need to lose weight!" because, um, this is really not what i look like in my head. no. yes, i'm being shallow and silly about this, i realize.

other than the whole disparity of actual vs perceived appearance, fabulous pictures! yay!

Is it a digital cam, or regular film?
I found w/ my digital that the fireworks setting works really well for fire spinning.

Yes, it's a digi, however I don't think I have fireworks setting. I find that "landscape" setting does better than most.
