Ok- this is a technical question about LJ:
Have any of you ever lost your line wrap when reading the Friends page?
I have and I think that's an "auto-format" issue, but I'm too tired to go spelunking or waiting for LJ to tell me the answer.
Anyone know?

Thanks. Tired tired tired

Not sure what you mean by line wrap. Do you mean within one person's journal or do you mean you do not get to see all of your friend's postings from as far back as they go?

hm, that is odd. I've seen it adjust when I make the window bigger or smaller. I've never had to scroll. Sorry. Coudl be how you have your settings done. Next time we're both at a computer we should compare and see.

I've seen that once or twice, but never managed to track down why it happens. Line wrap is supposed to be handled automatically by the browser, but it's affected by what else is in the page. I've seen the lines get wrapped wider than the window if someone posted a big picture, for instance.

Yes and no. What ceo said is likely the cause: someone in your friends list posted a big picture or something, and now all the text on your friends page expands to fit the width of your current page, which is the width of that picture. It *will* go away, when that person's entry scrolls off the bottom of your friends page, because there have been the requisite number of entries beyond it to pop that entry into "Previous 25". However, the next time somebody posts something like that, it will happen again. There is no fix for it; it's dependent upon the posting habits of the people on your friends list.
