Where to start- ... stuff done
Ok- many things.
1. I fear I may be getting too hooked to coffee. I have taken to having a cup before I leave for work and one when I get to work. This morning I was the quintessential AM grump, which was instantly fixed when I had some protein and caffine. Gr. Perhaps moving to tea for the pre-work libation is required.
2. Ohhhh that coffee this morning was goooooooood
3. So You Think You Can Dance Tour: deserving its own post will do so very shortly
4. I've moved away from clay-thing creation/construction. This is more than reasonable considering the stash I've built up. Instead, back to the watercolor greeting cards. I really have to take them all to work and scan them, then I can get on to giving them away!
5. Fall much? Hells yes!
5a. I realize as I sit here at the kitchen table, I may well have to give up my new favorite spot to work in the house til spring, as this is a bloody drafty little corner of the house :(
6. searching for a new breakfast source/diner-

- Admittedly, when one is in the car, having pinkish/purple shaded sunglasses makes everything more beautiful no matter what the season, but as K. can attest, I will stop mid-sentence to point and say "pretty!" We had to put the quilt on last night and I did not want to get up at all this morning, it was so comfy. I'm planning on boxing up shorts and tanktops today. The Macoun apples acquired at Wilson Farm yesterday are true essence of fall. The perfect apple ever. If all apples tasted that good, I could live up to the addage. I'm going apple picking today with friends, so I think I'll be overrun by the end of the day and *sigh!* forced to make a pie or two and possibly some apple sauce. One of the things I am likely to do when I have the spare 50 bucks I feel I can spend is get a set of fuzzy slippers from the LL Bean newly arrived in Burlington (MA not VT). They may suck in regard to not having any skirts in stock, but they have slippers, I've seen them myself. (Me here at kitchen table, not putting feet on the linoleum because Brrr)
shadesong, how are you gonna survive half the year here, hon??

6. searching for a new breakfast source/diner-
If the Arlington Diner does go the way we think it is after its acquired by the new owner (change in staff and menu), K and I will need a new place to have our pre grocery shopping run breakfast place. Our current path takes us to Diner-> Wilson Farm-> Bedford Stop n' Shop-> sometimes Bedford Whole Foods-> home. If the first leg of the journey changes dramatically, the final leg may need to change to keep things efficient and reasonable. We don't want to go over hell's half acre and the day on driving. The Wilson Farm part is the only thing that must stay the same.
If any of ya'll can think of good breakfast places (serves eggs n' toast past 11, ideally) that's in our neck of the woods (I'm thinking probably Woburn, Waltham, or Bedford) do let me know. I like to be prepared. The one lead we've considered is the "Lexington Cafe" (formerly Denny's), but that's not necessarily going to survive its transition according to
quiet_elegance, who goes there often.
