Confession of a Fangirl
I am Aaron Sorkin's newest bitch.
woodwardiocom suggested we watch an episode of West Wing during the latter half of our date yesterday and I said OK. The first scene includes a Oner (one continuous shot with no obvious breaks) while following one of the characters through the White House. The dialog is very much in my style. I'm bloody doomed. I only take comfort in the fact that the show is already cancelled. There's only so much I can get into and no matter what will not add to the Prime Time load, which is already pretty thick, if you ask me. Particularly, there will be no need to make any hard decisions about watching WW over one of the still-current shows. Also? Rob Lowe is still a hotty. My coworker Beth has seasons 1-6 with the final one about to be ordered, so my connection is guaranteed. And she's a willing pedaler of dvds.
DVDs. That reminds me: some folk have borrowed media from me:
bbbsg has Veronica Mars;
mzkero has Angel; Someone- I forget who-
lifecollage? has my latest Ani Difranco CD. Please check in with me and let me know if you have finished yet and when we can get the diskies back to DMH. The forgetful librarian must be more precise in keeping track of items loaned. Sheesh! I even have a little book for it. Must remember to make use of that section of "Books to Check Out."
Additionally, if you know you have something of mine and I've not mentioned it here, be kind and remind me.

By the time you get to "Noel" in the 3rd season, you'll want to have a whole bunch of Aaron Sorkin's little babies.
If you decide to start watching Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, you'll probably be very confused. There's something about that show that's very Sorkin-y, and yet somehow ... not absolutely so wonderful that it makes you go squee. It's an enigma.

"Noel" is second season, but otherwise, [nods vigorously].
