The latest....
Here I am again- At least it felt like I left work for 2 days- not always the way I feel on Monday... waiting for caffiene to start working. (sudden fear: am I building up a tolerance???)
Friday: Mike drove me home and we had pizza from Lexington House of Pizza (very tasty in comparison to the other Lex pizza places)- Mike departed to make bread.
purple_terror got his new video game.. Unreal Tournament, iirc, so he and Matt were all engrossed. I'm in the midst of Angel addiction, so I watched more of the latter half of season 1, and eventually we motorvated to go see X2, which we all liked very well.
Saturday: slept in, made applesauce and did general kitchen cleanup... and then went off on bike ride #1 of the weekend. I have succeeded in my goal of riding from home to Alewife and back!!! I did not realize that probably the shortest route to Alewife is the bikepath. 25 minutes, which means technically, I could ride my bike there sometime to get to work. It takes between 15-20 minutes for the bus to get there, so there you have it. Does anyone know how far in miles it is from Lexington Ctr. to Alewife via bikepath?
Went to 3 yr. old bday party for a bit after that-- It was nice to see folks, but I'm miz short-attention-span-theater, so when Matt called I returned home to do grocery shopping.... eventually. p_t had gone past Wilson Farm on the way home and said "We HAVE to wait. It's a zoo." And it still was when we eventually got there.
Good grilling night, though, so we had burgers, corn, 'dogs, etc.
J. came over to watch Headbanger's Ball, given this was the first time it has played in years and Metallica was hosting. I didn't last more than 2 videos, though, and went to watch another 2 Angel episodes.
Sunday: The guys played U.T. and I watched Angel. That sums up the day entirely... oh, and another bike ride out Bedford way--- which unsurprisingly was a lot tougher than the previous day's ride... my padded shorts were waiting to get washed and my legs were saying "YOU BITCH!" on the way home.
Today
Matt's seeing T. tonight, so I'm planning on going to class. MizKero is spending time with her Spousal Unit, so I packed extra music and the discman to keep from getting bored....

Have you tried Alexander's Pizza, on Bedford St out towards where the bikepath crosses it? They don't deliver, but it was my family's traditional place to order from on the (rare) occasions we ordered pizza.

Hm.. that'd mean 22 miles total for biking in a weekend, which is a new record for me... I think.
And yes, aware of all the variations in bike path grade--- I find that I must live on some sort of hill, as going out in either direction has a lot more downhill than the return journey. But it makes me stronger, right???
Alexander's is a known quantity- They're OK, but a bit greasy (could be because of meaty toppings that are frequently chosen. LHOP has very good crust, not overly saucy or sauce too sweet and uses fresh 'shrooms. I've been conditioned by Lexington, so used to picking the damned things up- their (LHOP) sign says "we deliver" but I have a hard time believing it. I think it'd break a Lex. standard or something.
