- recovered from Stupid Moment from Thursday (wow- frying pans that have been in the oven for any amount of time are still hot after they come out!---- and yes, I'm ok. Just about can't tell today)
I spent a great deal of energy staying at status quo, so was tired much of the day.
Afternoon was an outreach committee meeting, which went very well. We had a few last minute cancellations, but got a lot done and I feel good about the new infusion of folk.

[livejournal.com profile] purple_terror's dad showed up to drop off a buncha stuff. He's a great guy and I'm glad to borrow the entire clan as honorary family- p_t made his signature steak/ potato/ asparagus/ wine menu, but minus creme brule- An early Saturday morning = go to bed early for me.

I got up at 7 and headed up to Jaffrey before 8 for my outreach program. I did make a few wrong turns, but got in at 9:30 and found the best breakfast ever ever ever- well, ok. Best breakfast I've had in a long time at Mrs. Murphy's Donuts.--- I had pictured coffee, pig flesh, scrambled eggs and toast and lunch-counter setting and that's what I got. The eggs were buttery and as far from the styrofoam eggs one gets at Friendly's- the wheat bread was dark, made locally, and perfect. Then there were the donuts [Homer noises put in here, with drooling]- Eat your heart out, Dunkies!!! I limited myself to one unpowdered rasberry filled- but did pick up a variety for home.
Ok. Obviously, I really really liked it and wish that I could find something like that close to home (walking distance even) but I know that's not happening anytime soon.
The event itself went very well- I had 2 helpers and the hostess. We had about 12 people stop in- my helper/new member, Anne, was phenominal. I let her keep center stage most of the time. Kris also was great. I hope I get to work with both women again sometime.
Our hosts took us to lunch and we had a liesurely lunch.
The guys and I went to see a late showing of Matrix that night, which was good except for the lack of fresh air by the middle of the screening. I didn't think it was possible to fall asleep during action-packed fight scenes, but I was doing my level best to attain unconsciousness.

[livejournal.com profile] bookteacher and I got together for a long over-due hangout time. We do love to go decorate ceramics, which is what we did- Paint a Plate (no url sorry) in Lexington is similar to "made by me"/clay room, but has the added bonus of not having a per hour charge. bt did a groovy Challa plate and I did a sun/moon design on a round platter. I do hope I put enough layers on it-
We had a medium-sized walk after on the bike trail, then it was time for her to go home and for me to have dinner.
I didn't mean to, but I watched another 3 episodes of Angel in which I got to see the dance of joy. I was amused.

We only have 3 (including me) at work today- I guess this means there'll be moments of catching up with my reading - yay!
Need to find [livejournal.com profile] mizkero and see if she's going to dance tonight.
