That was exhilerating

I rode all the way into work today for ease of transport this evening. It was a little hair-raising and it was too bad that I missed the turnoff for Cambridge Ave, but I managed to wend my way back without turning around- showed Bob the bike and was first nervous then relieved to see that the temporary "No Stopping" signs did not include the 2 yard strip next to the fireplug where the cycles park. I'd noticed yesterday that it wasn't remotely full at 4:30, which is no surprise given the mid-day heat. I've never parked downtown like this before and I'm a little anxious, but it seemed a reasonable test. Oh, and I arrived about five minutes earlier than if I'd taken the T. Good to know there really isn't any noticable difference there.
