Yesterday the roses bloomed

Yesterday wasn't a good day. I was thwarted a lot. I'm still struggling with the work web site every time I have to add wholly new content. I failed to figure it out yesterday, but had major success and productivity today.

One of my new tools for improving my over-all productivity is a new to me Google Widget- Listaculous. I am fond of this variation because it offers multiple to do lists, which allow me to divide my tasks into type more easily. This new goal I have is to cross something off each list every day- I have some long lists, you see. I don't think that's going to happen as such, but I'm in the spirit of it: three things were crossed off the Tech list, for example. All of the "Do Today" has been done with half an hour to spare. An integration processing project has been finished today, including correcting the guides in 3 formats (catalog, web, word). The latter has been reprinted and will be filed before I leave.

One of the results of the new machine here at work was losing my MP3/podcasting tools- Audacity and its peripherals. I apparently lost the exported MP3s from the podcasts that had been done. I hadn't realized they were not there- just that the sound files existed. It was a major victory for me to redo that because some of it was not intuitive. I needed to figure all of that out in order to upload the podcast my boss asked me to do weeks ago.

Speaking of sound files, one of the by-products of checking off stuff on the tech to do list was adding Quicktime and iTunes to my machine- and so now I have several nifty NPR-related podcasts all set up. All the podcasts I'd already had migrated via Robin's efforts imported automatically when I set up iTunes, so hopefully I can make a bigger dent in that soon.

So, to sum up: I can leave for the weekend feeling entirely satisfied with my work and have the means of maintaining higher standards of work in the future. I hope.
