This was not the con experience I was looking for

My con experience can be summed up a little too quickly

Friday: Set up art show space, hung out, left for extracarricular not-at-con party (had a good time)
Saturday: Got to Con, did Naughty Nurses, found out I was one of 3 artists who had their stuff ripped off, bailed in favor of not-at-con party. (NN- very fun. N-a-c-p = very fun.)
I will say, though, Dr K. caulay , ahf , sweetmmeblue , and former con chair jim helped me hugely; taura_g , drwex and evila  were generous with ride-giving. Thanks to all for your emphatic support. Much sympathy to the other 2 artists. I met Bonnie, but not the third person. All 3 of us apparently have very cute stuff- cute enough that someone (some kid perhaps?) just couldn't keep hir hands off. I can live without that kind of compliment, thankee.
No surprise my dreams were anxiety driven about an art show/book fair that I had stuff displayed in but they moved my stuff and  had to change my bid sheets myself, but I couldn't find my stuff because it was multiple levels and crowded, an event about to start and nobody was interested in helping me.
Despite dreams and reality, I have plans to mail in art to some of this year's cons. I expect I'll have more stock than I want to have in the long haul.

I'm home for now enjoying my own kitchen. Very soon: the ritual of diner and grocery shopping. I'll be picking stuff up in a few hours from the show.
Edit: Stuff picked up. Sold 3: one "guardian", a reader, a mobile. I'll be reimbursed for the reader who got pinched, so not bad. I'm somewhat surprised that this one and its brother didn't go. Mebbe next time. I also have paperwork for Boskone and Lunacon- no need to make extra stock! If anyone never managed to get to the show and want to acquire a dragon (or whatever), ping me.

Yeah- it's not a fun thing. And given my emotional attachment to everything I make... :P I'm getting on. Yesterday 'round now was the peak of bad and I feel like I've moved on.

I'm so sorry the theft happened so early. I completely understand how upset you were. It's good to hear you're doing better.

Thank you, so much, for your help making the blood drive such a success. I think you left too early to hear that 66 donors were able to give. That's a tremendous credit to your recruiting efforts. Thank you!
