Request for Assistance: craft-related

I'm looking for some "U" shaped pins, viz:

These are sold at Firemountain Gems for a little over 8 bucks. S&H is also 8+ bucks. I object. I also don't need 1000 pins. So, I'm hoping one of you crafty types have seen this object locally. I've already asked Windsor Button, and was considering Pearl or Jo Anne's. Anyway, any direction on this would be appreciated.

Oh! Duh. You should try calling New England Gem, which is right in Lexington center. This is the sort of thing they might have, and it could be far easier for you to get the item in question from them than from me. :-)

I can't remember exactly what they're called, but check out your hardware store for attractive shiny u-shaped cable holders just like this but industrial....maybe cable nails?

I've got a box at home for wiring unobtrusively; I'll check it tonight for a label & try to get back to you.

ooer. Iiiinteresting. Depending on how heavy the gauge, that could well be the awesome. I suspect the ones from the gem shop will be shiny and smaller gauge.

I buy mine from Joslin Display ( they are up in wilmington, MA)
but it comes in boxes of 1000... I go through them at the store!

I have designs to get a box here in Lexington from the place Lizzie mentioned. Thank gods!! I was not keen on spending 19 bucks on a stupid box to be mailed to me.
