My co-werker (I did that on purpose) and I have been waiting to see Nathan Fillion's new movie, Waitress for a few months now.
We managed not to traverse to Kendall Sq. without drowning, had dinner at Emma's. They're mostly pizza. Very thin crust and a lot of nifty froofy toppings. Ours was caramelized onion, kalamata olives, sweet italian sausage, and a rosemary tomato sauce. Oh, and cheese, of course. Not so much pizza as very fancy cheesy crackers with good toppings. Definitely a way cool combo if salty and sweet.
I acquired a 30 cent baseball cap at Dollar a Pound in the Garment District. It's got a U on the front (black on black) apparently for continuum. I need to come up with a better representation of said U. Possibly related to the super-hero name. It's a dream. If nothing else, 30 cent hat that doesn't look dumb on me.
The movie was... adorable. painful. funny. Mostly funny in an adorable way. I think the audience was weighted with Fillionaires, as we were prone to louder outbursts of laughter and sympathetic groans of horror/amusement. I give nothing away when I say that Kerri Russell is a much better actress than I thought possible and Nathan was basically doing his best Simon Tam impression.
Unfortunately, I made a cardinal error on the return trip. I had one of R's gummy worms. I'm now hyper. Just one, mind you. I've known for a while that jelly beans and gummy candies send me straight to spaz-ville, but wow. One?! Hrmph! I have to stop thinking of them as a food subtance and more like either straight up poison or at the very least a drug.
