I have cut up the last of my stockpile of National Geographics. Ok, technically [profile] purple_terror's, but I convinced him that he wasn't going to look at them later. I culled them down like the librarian geek I am into various categories: animals (includes insects because I only have so many slots in my accordion file- ditto on the following categories), fire, water, greenery/gardens, man-made, humanity/modern, ancient civ, ice/snow, mountains/rocks (sand- very small rocks), patterns. Sometimes the greenery and the water intermingle- or whatever, but hey. Organized so they can be better used, durn it! I also, as previously mentioned, picked up some non-wrinkle-making paste, which I have now tried out on my first collage of the season. Said collage sports a wee squid.

If folk are interested in collage-making, I'm happy to share both paste and picture file. The only thing I really haven't done is keep words/letters in the file. At the time, didn't seem that important. Anyway! Lemme know.
...
Clearly I'm feeling better, for I'm still awake at almost midnight and feeling very alert and rambly.
Also fear and tremble: I have begun the process of re-watching Buffy from the beginning. Really I ought be watching SG1 or Farscape, which is oft neglected, but again, durn it! I loves me the Buffy so that's what I'm watching. Expect my vocabulary to shift accordingly. I think it already started.

Another random note is that I wasted a great deal of time this morning fiddling with my LJ custom look. The Poe thing just didn't seem to work for me anymore, and not loving the 3 column thing. In the end I came back to the same base, "Expressive," but the theme for said layout is now "Chopsticks." I expect more sushi eating because of it.

I've pitched out a couple hundred pounds of magazines and it's likely I'll chuck out a few more pounds of WIRED soon. Want them?
