Ok. [profile] purple_terror and I just finished Hex, season 2/show finale I have to say I'm glad it's over, as they spend most of this past season wingeing on and on and being stupid at each other. I kept hoping in vain for there to be some sort of closure on several points, and was disappointed there, too. It's quite irritating. I foresee a dull fall lineup in my TV viewing, particularly with the death of Veronica Mars, SG-1, and Dresden Files.

I tried watching Hex a couple of times on BBCA, but it seemed similar to Buffy - if you haven't been watching the whole time, forget it. I'm sorry they robbed you of a good storyline.

TV has had a really bad track record lately with interesting storylines. We've started not watching shows, since we're pretty sure they aren't going to last. I am a little worried about that with the show Supernatural. If it's too funky and cerebral, it's best not to keep it going. *sigh*

Thanks for the virtual pets. I'm now able to deal with human touch, actually, due to all of the drugs I'm taking. I may not be awake to feel them, but it's okay to pet the missdimple.

As I've learned the hard way in my life, accepting the answer "it's nothing to be concerned about" is not an option. My body doesn't seem to freak out over nothing. I hate how people treat you as a hypochondriac and that you are wasting their time since they've already offered you more medication.

Good to be warned about Hex. I didn't love the first season, but was amused. I'm going to miss Dresden. Sci-Fi really sucks at scheduling. From Farscape to Dresden to Stargate, they've killed as many good shows through bad scheduling decisions as they've aired bad shows that deserved to die (such as Tracker).

If you're looking for recommendations, I'm really loving "Kyle XY," but it's worth starting at the beginning. I know it's ABC Family, but their "Family Values" include discussions of masterbation (tasteful discussions), and a father-son conversation about smoking pot that included the line, "you can't tell me not to do it, I got it out of your closet." Also, really hot clones.

In case you haven't seen it, Jewel figures prominently in the ComiCon Atlantis Panel (http://www.scifi.com/comiccon/video/index.php?vid=135215").

You can get Kyle XY Season 1 on DVD from Netflix...
